This is an exempt position that reports to the career technical training manager. They will be responsible for providing career technical training instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. They ill provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.
High School diploma or equivalent and certification in area of instruction.
Certified by National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) or American Welding Society or the standards established by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Boiler and pressure vessel code.
Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
Provide students with career technical training and instruction, direction and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
Participate on student evaluation panels; prepare required documentation and evaluations using CIS as well as other systems of documentation. Enter case notes into the CIS systems as required and in accordance with established timelines.
Administer and correct tests; maintain Training Achievement Records(TARs) and attendance reports.
Work with community industry advisory counsel to review and recommend upgrades to CTT program.
Monitor labor market information; develop work based training sites o center, in the community and at home based sites; monitor and document student progress at work based sites monthly.
Participate in student employability programs and activities.
