Pay: $17.50

Schedule: Full-time, Non-Exempt M-F: 8am to 5pm

Essential Functions: Reports to the Student Personnel Officer. Assist with the student incentive program and operation of the student personnel office, which includes the behavioral management and discipline system and fact finding boards, in compliance with government and management directives.

 Duties vary, but may include:

 Investigate and submit Significant Incident Reports (SIR’s) within designated time frames.

  • Assist in determining and administering disciplinary action for students who have violated rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality regarding negative incidents and student records.
  • Coordinate and monitor fact finding boards as needed.
  • Counsel students when their behavior on or off-center is not appropriate.
  • Coordinate student personnel program with other center staff and maintain documentation of records and reports using CIS, as well as other systems of documentation.
  • Conduct orientation and training on the disciplinary system for staff and students; prepare and update disciplinary sections of the student handbook as needed.
  • Serve as the Acting Student Personnel Officer in the officer’s absence.
  • Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff and other center customers.
  • Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.

 Job Requirements:  Directly-related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Associate degree and two years related experience preferred.  Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s w/an acceptable record.  The position may require some evening and/or weekend work.
