Schedule:
  Part Time Evening/Weekend Position (20 hours per week)
Pay Rate: $21 - $22/hour

Reports to the Manager, Academics/Educational Services.  This position is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of evening/weekend activities to enhance Academic Support Services and oversee peer tutoring program in compliance with government and management directives. 


Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Manage, recommend and coordinate center's evening/weekend studies program. Provide support and guidance to students after training day hours.
  • Prepare lesson plans and structured activities for tutoring and evening study activities.
  • Develop practices and programs that enhance the student experience , foster student learning/development and encourage student involvement.
  • Ensure that all materials needed for evening/weekend studies are ordered and available for student use.
  • Issue assignments in a variety of academic disciplines to ensure proficiency in every area.
  • Prepare interactive lessons and activities to encourage group thinking and problem solving.
  • Facilitate lessons that enhance life skills, digital literacy and provide enrichment activities. 
  • Ensure interaction/collaboration with career and technical training instructors to infuse the implied academic theory.
  • Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff and other center customers.
  • Participate in student employability programs and activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree and one-year related experience. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency is required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
