Reports to the programs director.  Directly supervises the training instructors, CTT instructor, WBL/OCT specialist and substitutes. Responsible for the management of the academic and training programs incompliance with government and management directives.

  1. Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and programmatic activities of the Training Department.
  2. Monitor and manage all instructors within the Training Department to ensure full compliance regarding teaching strategies and classroom management.
  3. Facilitate weekly meetings with staff members to review center goals, outcomes, expectations as well as new center initiatives.
  4. Ensure all property is accounted for in all classroom areas.
  5. Assist in the preparation of the departmental budget, monitor and control expenditures. Review and recommend changes to budget authorizations.
  6. Ensure classroom observations are completed on a quarterly basis using the MTC classroom observation form.
  7. Ensure proper data integrity of all academic testing processes.
  8. Ensure the use of TABE diagnostics for student placement in reading and math classes.
  9. Attend all CIC and CRC meetings to ensure industry compliance.
  10. Ensure that appropriate and timely student schedule changes are submitted for accountability and compliance with maximum benefits scheduling. Monitor and assist with the student accountability system as it relates to Academic standards and training.
  11. Ensure all staff members receive the necessary training for their position to include teaching strategies, classroom methodology, and interactive teaching.
  12. Function as the Disability Coordinator for the center and ensure all PRH requirements related to students disabilities and accommodations are being met.
  13. Coordinate collaboration between the academic and career technical training programs to include bi-monthly meetings and delivery of monthly integrated lessons.
  14. Complete annual internal assessments for the academic and CTT departments.
  15. Conduct staff training related to student disabilities and accommodations.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience, one of which should be supervisory. Experience developing individual accommodation plans for clients with mental health, physical, and learning disability, and experience developing linkages with disability and mental health agencies is preferred. Experience working with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
