South Bronx Job Corps is seeking an RN who is a positive, high energy professional to manage multiple high level tasks such as ensuring students wellness services are scheduled within a specified timeline; ensuring that all areas of the department are functioning and maintained at a high standard and maintaining communication with staff and students in a professional, positive manner.

Position Summary
South Bronx Job Corps is seeking an RN who is a positive, high energy professional to manage multiple high level tasks such as ensuring students wellness services are scheduled within a specified timeline; ensuring that all areas of the department are functioning and maintained at a high standard and maintaining communication with staff and students in a professional, positive manner.
This position reports to the center director. They directly supervise the registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), drug and alcohol counselor, mental health consultant, secretary and subcontracted physician, nurse practitioner, and dental services. Responsible for the management of health and wellness services which includes medical and dental care for students, sick call, infirmary coverage, substance abuse program, mental health services and physical and dental examinations, in compliance with government and management directives.
The RN Director is responsible for a variety of administrative tasks; managing the department’s budget, developing and implementing wellness services policies and programming.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Active, unrestricted license registered nurse (RN) license to practice in New York and two years related experience, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity preferred. Experience working with youth, and excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record unless waived by management.
