What you will be doing This is a non-exempt position that will report to the health and wellness director (HWD) co-disability coordinator. Prepares patients for dental examination and treatment, in compliance with government and management directives.
High school diploma and one year experience supervised by a West Virginia licensed dentist.
Computer proficiency also required.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Assist dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling required instruments, equipment and dental plastics.
Sterilize instruments and keep office stocked with required supplies.
Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
Keep records of patients.
Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by the dentist.
Assist in taking patient X‑rays.
Perform limited clerical duties, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology, clinic or laboratory procedures; type correspondence, reports, etc. and operate office equipment.
Interview incoming patients and record information required.
