MTC is proud to operate the Otero County Processing Center in Chaparral, NM where we care for up to 1,089 adults. Otero County Processing Center is accredited by the American Correctional Association—achieving compliance for both mandatory and non-mandatory standards.

MTC and the Otero County Processing Center are hiring a full-time Director Of Nursing (DON) to join our team.

Pay: 61,000 - 92,000 DOE

In this role, you will make a difference by:

1. Assuring adequate coverage on all shifts. Monitor call-ins and use of overtime. Assume on call status
   for staff problems. Assume on call status in absence of health services administrator.
   2. Conducting in-services, audits, monthly/quarterly reports, chart reviews, statistical evaluations, and
   changes in policy or procedure.
   3. Assisting HSA (overall responsibility) with oversight of sick call, medication administration, and other clinic
   activities.
   4. Track referral of detainees to emergency services based on their medical condition, the HSA shall have overall oversight, and will coordinate and report.
   5. Facilitate NCCHC/ACA accreditation of the medical program by providing the required level of
   efficiency and approved, appropriate medical services..

Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent, a minimum of two (2) years professional experience in a correctional
environment required. Two (2) years supervisory experience in a medical environment preferred. Must possess
current CPR certification. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record in the state of New Mexico or
Texas required, unless waived by management
