IMPERIAL REGIONAL DETENTION FACILITY
Hourly pay rate: $15.00
Reports to the secretary III. Responsible for central communications and performing related clerical tasks in
compliance with MTC and customer directives.
Route incoming and inter-office calls and make connections with outside lines for outgoing calls.
Place long-distance calls and keep record of all long-distance calls, outgoing and incoming reversed
Keep directory of location and telephone extension for assigned personnel.
Type correspondence, reports and letters; proofread material to verify accuracy.
Maintain records, files and appropriate office supplies.
Operate office equipment such as copying and calculating machines.
Under direction, order and coordinate communication services.
Update and maintain facility directory.
Greet and direct visitors to the proper office.
Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail.
Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and
intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.
Maintain accountability of staff, detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.
It is expected the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work as determined
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Six (6) months of clerical or administrative experience is
preferred. Must type a minimum of 45 words per minute. Must be 21 years of age. Valid driver’s license in the
state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
Post Hire Requirements:
Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
