Hawaii Job Corps Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to work in our Health & Wellness Clinic at our beautiful Waimanalo Campus. No evenings or weekends!Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 7:30AM - 4:15PM
Pay Rate: $39.86/hourly + Full Benefits Package, $5,000.00 Sign On Bonus
POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Health & Wellness Manager, the RN performs duties concerned with the care of the sick and injured, prevention of illness and promotion of good health, in compliance with government and management directives.
Duties include, but not limited to:
1. Render first aid treatment and assist physician in treating serious accidents or illnesses
2. Treat minor injuries and illnesses according to physician instructions as authorized per healthcare guidelines
3. Cleanse and dress wounds, operate emergency equipment and provide follow-up nursing care as required
4. Prepare and administer specified medications and drugs
5. Assist in developing programs to prevent or control diseases and accidents
6. Monitor students on bed rest in health and wellness center
7. Supervise students assigned to practicum/work experience in the center's health & wellness center
8. Conduct cursory medical exams during students first 24 hours on center
9. Conduct designated health & wellness special programs as assigned
10. Assemble health charts and maintain health records in an organized manner
11. Maintain student immunization records and update status as needed
12. Provide case management services to students whose health needs require more intensive monitoring
13. Maintain inventory of supplies including pharmaceuticals and durable medical supplies
14. Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with Valid Hawaii RN License
- Two years nursing experience required
- Current CPR & First Aid Certification
- Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer Proficiency
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
