Food Service Supervisor

Pay Rate - $22.84/hr
Hours - 6am - 3pm

Education and Experience Requirements:

Technical training in food service and four years related experience required.  Valid Serv Safe certificate and food handler’s permit, if required in the state of employment.  Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.

1. Provide supervision of cafeteria services on assigned shift.
2. Ensure quality of production and food purchase requirements; minimize waste through efficient storage, inventory and food utilization.
3. Maintain food service areas in a sanitary and safe condition; conduct and coordinate daily inspections of food service areas on assigned shift.
4. Develop and implement new and revised policies and procedures affecting food service.
5. Ensure preparation of food service for special center functions and visitors on assigned shift.
6. Provide training to culinary arts career and technical education students assigned to the cafeteria.
7. Participate in required staff training.
8. Participate in student employability programs and activities.
9. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.
10. Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
11. Maintain accountability of staff, students and property; adhere to safety practices.
12. Assist in cleaning kitchen work area & dining area after each meal.
