Pay Rate - 31.44
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience. Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
Responsibilities- Provide students with basic direction, classroom instruction, and assistance in designated area(s) of instruction.
- Coordinate the development of employer linkages and identifies potential jobs, schools, and military for all center trades to insure job training match placements for program graduates.
- Coordinate the interviews for student completers with local employers and transport and chauffeur students to interviews on an, as needed basis.
- Maintain program linkages with national, state and local agencies to provide CDSS services and school to career linkages.
- Monitor the employability development of students from point of enrollment through placement; compile required data from respective areas in order to prepare students’ resume and placement documents for prospective employers.
- Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
- Conduct mock interviews and participate in employability panels.
- Assist with the coordination of the center graduation ceremony, and in the post CDSS follow-up effort on all graduates of the program.
- Coordinate ASVAB test preparation class along to the military and career transition readiness exit phase course.
- Coordinate an updated list of all students nearing vocational and academic completion.
- Ensure employer sites selected for the work-based learning (WBL) program have the potential to hire students placed at these sites.
- Assess support services needed for each student; initiate community referrals to obtain needed services.
- Participate in the center’s industry and community relations council.
- Assist with the maintenance of folders for students of CTR.
- Participate in required staff training.
- Participate in student employability programs and activities to include participation in small learning teams.
