Required Experience:
Six years experience in a construction trade. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, and Smartboards knowledge. Willingness to learn FEMA curriculum through a train-the-trainer program and deploy to a disaster site to experience first-hand the requirements of the job. Teaching experience with young adults.
Preferred Experience:
Certified to teach OSHA-30. Emergency management, especially conducting building, roads or bridge inspections.
Description:
Will provide students with basic direction, instruction and assistance related to the FEMA trade. Will also need to motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training and/or study habits. Will coordinate with other staff on center (school counselors, academic instructors and residential living counselors) to resolve issues affecting student training.
