Position Summary:
You will report to the designated sergeant or shift lieutenant and be responsible for the custody, care and oversight of residents in the facility. Follow the directives of  Management and Training Corporation (MTC) and Idaho Department of Corrections (IDOC).

Essential Functions:

  • Protect and supervise residents in living, work and recreation situations.
  • Prepare and maintain records, forms, and reports.
  • Perform specific duties as assigned. 
  • Respond to emergencies as necessary.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors.
  • Maintain accountability of staff, residents and property; follow safety practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely, have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, move quickly, and stoop and bend frequently.

 It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within their capabilities as determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver's license in the state of Idaho with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Post-Hire Qualifications and Training Requirements:
Must successfully complete the Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy.
