AZ State Prison-Marana (ASP-Marana) is a minimum-custody private prison in Marana, under contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry to provide custody and substance abuse treatment for 500 adult male inmates who have demonstrated a need for substance or alcohol abuse treatment.  

MTC is a privately-held company that successfully operates Job Corps, corrections, medical, and economic and social development contracts.

ASP-Marana is looking for leaders to help in the custody and rehabilitation of the offenders in our care.   

The Correctional Officer will serve as an important link in the chain that strives to reduce recidivism by promoting values and exhibiting respect towards the inmates in our care. SALARY:  $20.10 / hour 

SIGN-ON BONUS - $500 - for new employees
(paid after completion of 180-day probation)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

> High school diploma or GED required;
> Must successfully complete a 7-week academy if you have not worked for AZ Dept. of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR), ASP-Marana or another AZ State private prison within the last 2 years;
> Must pass an extensive background investigation through ADCRR and AZ Dept. of Public Safety; 
> Must pass fitness test, written test, psychological, physical/medical/drug screenings;
> Must have a valid AZ driver's license with acceptable driving record at the time of interview.
