Work schedule: Full-time; 12-hour shift (day & night); 4 days on/2 days off

Job responsibilities: A Correctional Officer reports to the shift supervisor and is responsible for the custody and discipline of offenders in the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) and Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) directives. If assigned to the transportation department, responsible for the transporting of offenders to and from the facility in accordance with established procedures.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent course is required. Must be eligible for employment per all requirements of Florida Department of Law Enforcement for Correctional Officer's: must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required (unless waived by management), must have high school diploma or equivalent, must be a U.S. Citizen by birth or naturalization.
