Nursing Assistant III

Description

Reports to the director of nursing but will receive instruction and direction from nursing and licensed provider staff.  Performs technical duties in the field of detainee patient care and participates in the general healthcare of detainees by providing assistance for activities permitted in the state of Texas.  Assists licensed staff in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment in compliance with MTC Medical and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) directives.

Requirements:  High school graduate or GED.  Current Medical Assistant Certification or registry from an accredited medical assistant program recognized by the state of Texas required.  CPR certification required.  Certified to distribute medication a plus, but not required. Current registration or Certification must be kept on file with administrative staff at facility.  Valid driver’s license in the State of Texas with an acceptable driving record required.
