Pay: $34.57 / hour plus shift differential 
Shift: 8-hour shifts

Backed by national accrediting organizations, MTC Medical staff are dedicated to providing quality medical and dental services to men and women at our correctional and detention facilities. With the capacity for 1,250 minimum, medium and community adult females, the Gadsden Correctional Facility has been helping to prepare women for successful re-entry by providing education, training, and treatment.

We are looking for full-time Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team! All experience levels welcome - you will see a wide variety of cases; some of which you might not see in other settings. But more importantly, you will make a real difference in the lives of those in your care. 

A few of your primary duties include:

• Attend sick call with the physicians to see detainees; prepare examining room and equipment.
• Call the physician for medication and treatment orders and other emergencies.
• Operate pill call, administer medication and accurately and completely document treatment as required by applicable policies and procedures.
• Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Degree in nursing.  Must have current, valid nursing license for the state of Florida. Must possess current CPR certification.  Must work within Florida state board of nursing scope of practice.  Valid driver’s license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
