What you will be doing
This is a non-exempt position that will report to the manager, food services or designee. Assist in cleanup functions, in compliance with government and management directives.
Qualifications:
- One year related experience.
- Valid food handler's permit if required in the state of employment or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Keep serving counters stocked with salads, desserts and other foods.
- Replenish napkin dispensers, plate racks, silverware racks, salt and pepper shakers, condiments, etc.
- Make coffee, tea and other beverages.
- Set up cafeteria lines and serve meals on the line.
- Assist receiving clerk in the storage and inventory of supplies; transfer food ingredients from storage area to cooking area.
- Clean food service area, tables, and kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Assist in washing dishes/utensils; store in orderly fashion.
- Supervise students assigned to center work support in the cafeteria.
- Perform assigned food preparation activities.
- Mop, wax and buff cafeteria floors.
