What you will be doing This is a non-exempt position that will report to the supervisor, student records. Performs specialized clerical functions in any one or more of a variety of areas in compliance with government and management directives.
High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and computer proficiency required.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Maintain and audit student records for the purposes of accountability, pay and allowances, government paid travel, clothing allowance, status reports, arrival and separation from center.
Prepare input, termination and placement documents of all students assigned to center, meet the time requirements as designated by DOL and MTC guidelines.
Prepare students records in accordance with DOL and MTC guidelines before and after student termination from center training.
Operate electronic data processing equipment.
Prepare local CIS reports for distribution to appropriate departments.
Monitor supplies and assist in reordering as needed.
Respond to student and staff inquiries regarding student records in compliance with the Privacy Act.
Perform other general clerical duties including, but not limited to, typing correspondence, form letters, schedules, forms, reports, etc.
Proofread, copy documents, process incoming and outgoing mail, answer telephones, receive visitors and file documents.
