Pay:  $18.00 per hour, a raise to $19.00 after six months, and $20.00 at one year of employment.
 We are also offering a retention bonus of $1000.00 after six months of employment. This $ 1000.00 dollar incentive will be paid every six months for the first two years and at the end of two years, you will receive a $3000.00 dollar bonus.

 Assistant Food Service Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Directly supervises offenders assigned to the dining area. Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen area, food preparation area, tools, and equipment and assisting in the service and preparation of facility meals based on pre-planned menus in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) directives.

Essential Functions include but not limited to::
1. Oversee the cleaning and sanitizing of all food preparation equipment and ensure that it is kept in safe and
operable condition.
2. Submit work orders and purchase requests as needed to ensure safe functioning equipment is available at
all times.
3. Maintain kitchen equipment in orderly workable condition. Ensure work area is safe, clean and sanitary at all
4. Ensure count and control of all kitchen tools. Provide an accurate count of all control items at the beginning
and end of each shift.
5. Supervise offenders in the preparation of meals required

Education and Experience Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
One (1) year full-time, wage-earning experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food preparation or food service management.  
Eighteen (18) months full-time, wage-earning correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
Valid ServSafe Food Safety Certification is preferred.
Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
