PRN Licensed Vocational Nurse

Shift: PRN - 12 Hrs.
Location: 805 N Avenue F, Post, TX 79356

Reporting to the nursing supervisor/RN or health services administrator.  You will be responsible for providing nursing care and assistance for ill and/or injured persons.

The Essential Functions include: 

• Attend sick call with the physicians.
• Assess and triage inmates.
• Administer, control, and record medications.
• Urgent care cases as needed.
• Closely monitor all potential catastrophic illnesses

Education and Experience: 
High school diploma or GED and current, valid nursing license for the state of Texas or compact state required. Degree in nursing preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess current CPR certification and pass a background check. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
