                  MTC is currently hiring a Shift Lieutenant to join our team. 

Location: Post, TX

Work schedule: Full-time; 12-hour shift

Essential Functions:

  1. Serve as shift supervisor.
  2. Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel and evaluate assigned employees.
  3. Conduct disciplinary hearings.
  4. Enforces disciplinary sanctions.
  5. Creates and maintains a cellblock atmosphere conducive to respect of others.
  6. Supervise the preparation and maintenance of records, forms and reports.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

 Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and three (3) years’ correctional custody or law enforcement experience, one (1) of which must be in a supervisory capacity required. Must possess an active jailer license, psychological assessment, and background check as determined by TCOLE. Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
