Get PAID TO PLAY every workday as part of our recreation staff!

We are looking for energetic, creative people who enjoy participating in and educating students about recreation, especially intramural sports. Our program currently includes: basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, dodgeball, softball, and disk golf.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As part of our recreation team, you will plan, implement, and coordinate a comprehensive and diversified intramural program that attracts student participation. Our rec center also offers students a broad array of activities: a movie theater, music room, game room, billiard room, weight room, racquetball court, arts and crafts room, and more -- plus outings to local activities and events.  

Wage: Starts at $17.00/hour. Increases to $18.00/hr. with a CDL with passenger endorsement. 

Schedule:       
Friday: 3:30pm to 12:00am
Saturday 2:30pm to 12am
Sunday: 11:30am to 9pm
Monday/ Tuesday: 2:30pm to 10:00pm
Wednesday/ Thursday: OFF

QUALIFICATIONS -- REQUIRED AND REQUESTED SKILLS:
One year paid, volunteer, or personal experience participating in team sports and/or fitness programs. Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing 30 lbs. and quickly run up and down stairs. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Willingness to obtain a commercial driver’s license.


THE MOST COMPETITIVE CANDIDATES WILL HAVE: 
Experience working or volunteering with youth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency. Strong intervention skills when observing negative behaviors.
About Tongue Point:
Tongue Point Job Corps Center is operated by Management & Training Corporation (MTC) for the U.S. Department of Labor.  Located at the mouth of the Columbia River, the Center is one of the five largest employers in Clatsop County. 

Tongue Point offers students training in 12 vocations. We are the only Job Corps Center in the nation with a seamanship program, and seamanship is the Center's largest vocation. #Talent #ZR
