Brief Job Description:Responsible for implementation and maintenance of student accommodation plans, in compliance with government and management directives.
- Oversee the accommodation review process by reviewing Job Corps applicant files for possible health, mental health, physical, drug and alcohol, or educational accommodations.
- Convene Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) to identify accommodations needed. Provide applicant materials to IDT members for review and ensure the review process is thorough and appropriate.
- Make determination if accommodation is reasonable or not for facility to provide.
- Adjust accommodations when needed. Reconvene the IDT periodically to develop more effective accommodations for individual students as necessary.
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree and one year related experience. Directly related experience may be substituted for education requirements. Experience developing Individual Accommodation Plans (IAP's) for clients with mental health, physical, and learning disability, and experience developing linkages with disability and mental health agencies. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Benefits:This position is covered under the Service Contract Act (SCA). SCA employees are automatically enrolled in coverage utilizing the full Health & Welfare dollars. Health and Welfare dollars (also called fringe dollars) are contributed by MTC to help pay for your benefit coverage. Health and Welfare dollars are earned for every hour you are paid up to 40 hours per week. Premiums are covered through Health and Welfare dollars for medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, basic AD&D, short-term disability, and 401k retirement account. Optional coverage is offered for dependents or spouse at the employee’s expense.
Newly hired SCA employees are eligible for up to one week of vacation at 180 days of employment and up to one additional week after one year of employment, and 56 hours of paid sick leave.

Tongue Point Job Corps Center is operated by Management & Training Corporation (MTC) for the U.S. Department of Labor. Located at the mouth of the Columbia River, the Center is one of the five largest employers in Clatsop County. Our staff teach 473 youth, ages 16-24, the academic, technical training, employability, and social skills they need to become prepared for successful careers. A Job Corps campus is like a mini-city. It has dormitories, classrooms, a dining hall, and recreational and medical facilities. Training is open entry, open exit and can last up to two years. Students work at their own pace, guided by academic and career training instructors who are committed to their success.
Tongue Point offers students training in 16 vocations: building construction technology, carpentry, cement masonry, computer service technology, culinary, dental assisting, electrical, glazing, landscaping, medical assisting, office administration, painting, plastering, welding, and seamanship. We are the only Job Corps Center in the nation with a seamanship program, and seamanship is the Center's largest vocation with 120 students.
