Hours: 2 PM - 10 PM
Shift: Full Time - 8 Hrs. with rotating weekends

MTC Medical has recently taken over management of the Texas Civil Commitment Center, and we are seeking a dedicated, skilled, Licensed Vocational Nurse to care for our clients. We are seeking a highly motivated and mentally strong RN to join our team so we can transition this facility into a positive and caring environment where we are truly focused on patient care. This is not your typical RN position; this is a treatment facility that is closed to the public with a low rate of outside traffic. Our male residents are treated for chronic conditions & mental illness in a secure environment.
The Essential Functions are:
- Assist with provider line; prepare examining room and equipment.
- Control medication, syringes and other medical supplies or equipment as required.
- Operate pill call, administer medication and document as required by applicable policies and procedures. To include push and or wheel pill cart on facility campus.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed and call physician for treatment orders.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months related experience. Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program. Must possess current, valid vocational nursing license for the state of Texas or a compact state and current CPR certification. Must successfully complete required preservice training. US Citizenship required. Valid driver’s license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
