Nursing Assistant III

Pay:  $16.20 per hour

MTC is now hiring for a full-time Nursing Assistant III at Otero County Prison Medical located in Chaparral, New Mexico.

Essential functions:

1. Receive and maintain medicalsupplies and store properly.Provide accurate documentation and inventory.
2. Enter prescription information into log: create labels and Medication Administration Records.
3. Ensure medical supply cart, trauma bag, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) room, and the facility first aids kits are fully and accurately stocked and clean at all times.
4. Assist withmaintenance of the Sick Call, Chronic Clinicand Specialty Logs.
5.  Provide inmate care according to registered nurse II or physician instructions and appropriate level of certification, to include personal nursing care, taking and recording vital signs, providing personal hygiene care, while maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school graduateor equivalent. 
• May be a nurseassistant/aide, emergency medical technician, or medical assistant with appropriate certification or permit.
• One (1) year of experience in a hospital, clinicor correctional setting preferred. 
• Demonstrate competency in word processing and computer data entry. 
• Must hold current CPR certification. 
• Valid driver's license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
