Job responsibilities: Responsible for delivering case management and correctional program services to assigned inmate population. Makes routine decisions affecting correctional programs. Must coordinate major decisions with the manager, programs. Maintaining order and discipline among inmates in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC).

Essential functions:

  1. Provide continuous education, vocational, personal, an social adjustment counseling on an individual or group basis. Recommend necessary program modifications throughout each assigned inmate’s stay.
  2. Ensure continuous interpretation and evaluation of progress in specific development program Coordinate problem cases and point out areas in which guidance and development techniques can be improved. Maintain documentation and records.
  3. Screen inmates to determine appropriate placement and work level. 
  4. Monitor inmate release to ensure all documentation is submitted within timeframes. Meet with inmates to review release qualifications such as type of release. 
  5. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed, Provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.
  6. Maintain accountability of staff, inmates, and property; adhere to safety practices. 

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Education/Experience requirements:

Associates degree required or two years correctional experience will be considered in lieu of education. Must be at least 21 years of age. A Valid driver’s license in the state of Arizona with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
