Recreation Aide

What you will be doing
This is a non-exempt position that will report to the recreation supervisor. Responsible for monitoring and directing students engaged in center‑ sponsored recreational activities on and off-center, in compliance with government and management directives.

Qualifications:
 

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience required.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Essential Duties:
 

• Assist the supervisor, recreation in planning, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive and diversified program which will attract voluntary participation.
• Organize and supervise student participation in a variety of recreation/avocation activities and extended day learning activities.
• Conduct recreation and avocation classes and activities.
• Chaperone students to center recreation functions.
• Assist in the development of the new enrollee recreation activities and plans.
• Conduct intergroup recreation activities as part of the diversity program.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by conducting daily cleaning duties.
• Distribute mail daily to students.
