Position Summary:
Reports to the supervisor, records. Responsible for clerical tasl<s, systems and procedures related to student
accountability, payroll, and records administration, in compliance with government and management directives.


Essential Functions:
1. Enter information into Center Information System (CIS) to include morning report/accountability student
 arrivals and departures, pre-separations, returns from leave, and Training Achievement Records (TARs)
and credentials, ensuring accuracy of information.
2. Process student payroll to include requests for pay advances and separation monies, replacement keys,
restitution, uncollected pay, and childcare allotments. Maintain spreadsheets for payroll deductions.
3. Process input lists, extensions, and transfers.
4. Process data corrections and maintain data correction log.
5. _Maintain files on department records, cards, forms and correspondence sent, received, and/or requiring
further action.
6. Proofread records and forms; copy needed 1nformat1on form one recorctto anotner1rs,e-qutred;i'iteTecord
in students' official record folder.
7. Assist in auditing active student files.
8. Maintain, update, and file terminated student records in accordance with directives.
9. Process student IDs.
10. Cross train in duties of Records Travel Clerk and be able to perform them proficiently during staff absence
and/or vacancy.
11. Provide positive, quality .customer service to students, staff and other center customers.
12. Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance Policy and center COSS plan.
13. Participate in student employability programs and activities.
14. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening
when Inappropriate behaviors are observed.
15. Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices; attend all required staff
training.


It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as
determined by management.


Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience, including word processing. Excel
spreadsheet and computer data entry experience. Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute. Experience
with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required. Valid driver's
license with an acceptable driving record.
