Position name: Recreation Supervisor

Facility name: Saint Louis  Job Corps Center 

Location: St. Louis, MO  

Shift: Tuesday through Friday 10:30 am - 7:30 pm and Saturday 1:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

JOB RESPONSIBLITY: Responsible for the management of well-rounded recreation programs, student leadership and incentive programs in compliance with government and management directives. 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  1. Plan, coordinate and manage the administrative and student activities services of the department with a diversified program that will attract voluntary participation. 
  2. Develop and distribute weekly, monthly, and annual recreational plans and schedules of activities.
  3. Coordinate with other center staff pertaining to recreation and social activities.
  4. Chaperone students to recreation functions both on and off-center when needed. 
  5. Plan and conduct various activities to enhance student retention and meet all students' needs. 
  6. Participate in Career Development Services System (CDSS) by creating positive peer leadership and role modeling techniques through activities both on and off-center. 


  • Associate’s degree and 
  • One (1) years related experience, one of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid commercial driver's license  or ability to obtain commercial license within 120 days of employment with an acceptable driving record.
